Jon Kong broke into the London club scene in the last 12 months, in that short space of time securing bookings at some of London’s premier venues, Ministry Of Sound , Pacha, Ko Ko, ,THAT, SE 1, Egg , Light Box & 54 are a few to name. Getting picked up by London’s leading club brand Connected Jon has played along side some of the biggest names in the scene, Steve Angelo, Mark Knight, Miss Divine, Dave Spoon, Bart B More, Style Of Eye, Kim Fai, are a few to name.
His productions have also been going from strength to strength this year by, getting releases featured on digital download sites, air play on Defected radio shows, charted on the Ministry Of Sound website and more recently tracks getting picked up by various label including, Whartone Records, Phunk Soloution, Sp Trax and Kernal Records.
Making Moves is a rolling Tech House track with pulsating percussion, tight synth stabs and sweeping fx sounds which all come together nicely.
First up on remix duties we have Scott Langley’s Burning Up Mix who takes it on a more Tribal / Big Room tip. Adding vocals, brass stabs & filtered grooves which really work well with the percussive hooks / Stabs of the Original. It’s no wonder the MoS Tour DJ is so in-demand in the studio and the box!
Next up we have Tony Divino’s Techtonic Remix which is a fusion of Tech House with a uplifting Trance influenced breakdown, which builds up well using reverb effects and sidechaining on the pad parts. On the drop it turns into a more rolling Tech House number, using delay fx, Reverb and sidechaining techniques on the Tribal chant sample. This all blends well to make a solid hook to keep the audience engaged with plenty of switch ups to keep things interesting.
Next up we have another remix from Scott Harrington who brings a more Tech / Acid House fuelled remix to the package. With interesting panning on the shaker parts and a killer Acid hook, plus addig his own vocal part. The Acid hook with the original parts really blend well and take the remix in a different direction.
Finally on remix duties we have Carleto. Who goes for a more all out Tech / House Remix with a progressive synth stab, big fx sweeps and a breakdown which is bound to get your hand in the air, using intricate editing on the percussive hooks and tempo changes which will work the dancefloor well.
Each remix has something to bring and all have a firm place on the package. We hope you enjoy the release, the SP Trax team x
